Praha, 24th Feb 2015 – the 11th year of the Czech Construction Forum has become an interesting platform for the discussion about the territorial development and town planning concept, especially in Prague. A great novelty of this week is the announced participation of the European expert in city area development, Paul Koch, who stood behind the realization of one of the modern architecture landmarks in Prague - the Dancing House.

The program of this year´s Czech Construction Forum will significantly strengthen the accent on topics of development, not only in the context of the plenary morning program, where Martin Veselovský will stir the debate between builders, developers and investors, but also in the afternoon conference part, namely in two sections specialized on area development. Their very specific content and the range of experts and practitioners in the field of area and city planning are raising the great interest of the participants. And just today, very good news came with the confirmed participation of Paul Koch – the European representative of urban development, and former Director of ING Real Estate Development for the Czech Republic and France.

Paul Koch has almost 40 years’ experience from both private and public sector in urban development & renewal, in urban governance, in real estate development, investment & construction. He started his carrier as a project manager urban development in City of Rotterdam, responsible for City marketing and Special projects. Since 90th Paul started to work for ING Investment & development of real estate in Czech Republic, Hungary, namely site‐finding & realization of HQ’s of ING Group in Budapest and Prague and HQ’s site‐finding in Warsaw and Milan. He has gained public awareness in the Czech Republic especially by his inviting of the world-famous architects Frank o. Gehry and Vlado Milunič to Prague and by development of the Dancing House - the landmark of modern Prague architecture.

In the following years Paul worked in the field of development in Paris, and lectured at universities around the world, besides Paris and Abu Dhabi also at Technical University Prague. Now Paul Koch works as a consultant in the field of urban development and economics, and, no doubt, at the Czech construction Forum he will enjoy exchange of opinions, for example, with Roman Koucký the Institute of Prague planning and development.
