Retail Summit enters the jubilee 20th year not only with new ideas but also with new logo of the event

Prague, 4.10. 2013 – 20th year of Retail Summit, to take place on February 4-5, 2014, will bring a lot of novelties that are advertised also be renovated facelift of the event logo. Its centrepiece remains the symbol representing the customer, who starts to be the key player in conditions of fully saturated and highly competitive market. The arrows, i.e. production and trade, can succeed only if together they do everything for the satisfaction of customers´ needs, wishes and desires.

The original logo was founded by the end of 1994 during preparations of the 1st conference year.

Phase I (1994 – 2003)

The former graphics has faithfully reflected the character of retailing, which was rather a matter of pure distribution than the service to customers. The Logo symbolized the sides of production and retail, and accents (inadvertently..) their conflicting interests.



Phase II (2004 – 2013)

The Logo has undergone a significant facelift. The arrows symbolizing production and retail trade became closer and logo, as well as the entire retail market, gained a new centrepiece - the customer. The name of the event is changing, expressing its summit and international character.

After the entry of the Czech Republic into EU, the name of Summit omits the adjective "Czech", the event is gaining more international character. Too much accent on "Czech" is moreover unfair towards the Slovak friends who attend the Summit really regularly and are always welcomed.



Phase III (2014 + )

The current change of the logo stresses that retail trade is getting new dynamics and is actually a modern industry. An integral part of the changes in the logo (and in the entire retail market) is the further growth of customer´s importance. Both sides of production and trade can succeed only if together they do everything for the satisfaction of customers´ needs, wishes and desires.
